Various Maki-e techniques such as Taka and Raden are hand painted unto a Urushi lacquered celluloid barrel. The Dragon & Phoenix is the first of a series of
four Maki-E pens based on Eastern Supernatural Creatures to be produced by Visconti. Matching numbers for the series may be ordered. Only 188 fountain pens
are available worldwide.
The Visconti Maki-E Limited Edition fountain pen features an 18kt gold nib, available in fine, medium and broad, and is
fitted with Visconti's patented double reservoir system.
