Back in 1929, when Pelikan first patented the differential piston mechanism, no-one could have foreseen that the technique would be such a runaway success! Even today, only a few small changes have been made to enhance the piston mechanism and pen aficionados of all kinds are fascinated to see the mechanism in action every time they refill their fountain pen. So it with with great excitement that Pelikan launches this Special Edition Demonstrator 1005 - the largest and most impressive size of Pelikan fountain pen.
The nib of the Demonstrator 1005 is crafted of 18-carat gold and entirely covered by rhodium, to give it a silver shimmer. The clip and the rings are coordinated to match with palladium plating. The completely translucent barrel is created by ensuring that no color particles enter the production process - a painstaking and time-consuming process that is worth every effort to create this magnificent fine writing instrument.
