As Head Work Master for Peter Carl Faberge from 1885 to 1903, Michel
Perchin was the catalyst that propelled the already famous Faberge firm to become the world-renowned jeweler of Russian Royalty. It was he who built the
Imperial Faberge Eggs given by the Czars to members of the Royal Family. The Russian Eagle is an exquisite design inspired by the magnificent Imperial
Coronation Egg of 1897. The Coronation egg was presented in 1897 by Czar Nicholas II to his wife Alexandra Feodorovna. This Michel Perchin piece captures
the dazzling starbursts patterned and black enameled Imperial eagle.
Each piece is meticulously hand-crafted in Europe from a solid rod of
.925 sterling silver and engraved with over one thousand independent cuts to the highest world-class goldsmith standards. Multiple layers of translucent
enamel are baked on to the guilloche (engraved) pattern adding depth and beauty to the starburst and Imperial eagle design. This old-world craftsmanship and
classic design produces a spectacular creation.
Fitted with Michel Perchin's 18-karat gold nib, the Russian Eagle is available in a fountain pen
or roller and is limited to only 88 pieces worldwide of each mode and color.
