The Red Cross is an exquisite design inspired by the magnificent Red Cross Egg of 1914. The Red Cross egg was presented in 1915 from Czar Nicholas II to Dowager Empress Maria for her dedication and commitment to the Red Cross during World War I. Multiple layers of translucent enamel are baked on to the guilloche (engraved) pattern adding depth and beauty to the Red Cross design.
Each piece is meticulously hand-crafted in Europe from a solid rod of .925 sterling silver and engraved with over one thousand independent cuts to the highest world-class goldsmith standards.
