The new 18th Century Sealing Wax Pen was crafted to resemble the work of Georges-Antoine Croze, an 18th century Parisian goldsmith. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has chosen to model this pen after Croze's exquisitely crafted étui, a small ornamental case designed to carry small personal items. This pen is composed of quality lacquer with a gold overlay, much like that of the étui, which is currently on display at the Met.
