The Indigenous people of the Amazon, whom the Portuguese explorers of the 1500s
called "Indios" (Indians), were semi-nomadic tribes estimating of about 2,000 nations and tribes. Many died out as a consequence of the European
settlement, and many were assimilated into the Brazilian population. Only a few tribes still survive in their original culture in remote areas of the Amazon
Rainforest.
Delta celebrates one of the World's enduring and unchanged cultures with the Indios Limited Edition. The Limited Edition version is
made from hand-turned solid bars of a special brown Hevea (rubber plant) color resin and black resin with matte sterling silver accents. The Special Limited
Edition version is also made from the same exquisite resins but accented with vermeil trim and features a lever filling mechanism. Only 1,500 pieces of each
