Aurora pays tribute to the daring expedition of General Umberto Nobile and his
crew to the North Pole in April of 1928. During the expedition, the Zeppelin carrying 18 passengers, including General Nobile, crashed in a remote area of
the Arctic. For 48 days the survivors battled the elements with courage, solidarity and an indomitable spirit, and General Nobile kept a diary of these
events written with an Aurora pen.
Aurora honors this extraordinary human experience with the Nobile Limited Edition. The pen barrel is handcrafted
in ebonite (hard rubber) like many pens from the era and features an eye dropper filling system. The precious vermeil guilloche of the cap creates a unique
and refined design with the decorated engravings of the rings and clip. Only 1,919 fountain pens and 999 rollers are available worldwide.
